green line and red line on lens

can anyone tell me what the green line and dot, and the red line and 'R' signify on this older 80-200 lens that i have? thanks
hopefully i have attached a photo to this post if i did it right.

Oh, the green line is just the focus scale index, and the red one with the R is the same thing for use with infrared film, so you can basically ignore that line otherwise.. (The focus point will vary in those other wavelengths. Lenses bend other wavelengths differently.)

It's focus indicator for infrared photography. In normal conditions you prefer focusing for visible light and stick to the green line.
