But that involves effort!

Seriously though, due to an illness and the medication, I struggle to concentrate at the moment, so reading through the manual and retaining the information is quite difficult. Hopefully it won't be long before the illness is under control and my concentration comes back.

This is why I'm so grateful when people like you guys help me out

I set the Green Button of my K-x the same way as mentioned in icywindow's post, go to MANU, Green Button, Action in M Mode, Tv shift [OK]. In M mode, compose, focus, press green button (or +/- button) and shoot. When you press the green button you also pre-view DOF. I don't know why in K-x, the +/- button works just like green button.

Well, it seems logical considering the +/- button is the automatic exposure compensation button that it switch from an automatic function to a manual one in manual mode.
