Yashica Lens on Pentax DSLR

Just thought I would use this for a plug for a company which can often help with oddball things photographic, SRB Photographic - Camera Accessories . Had a look on Ebay and two hits if the lens is a C/Y bayonette type. 400912519728, and 281070991570, these have an auxillary lens element to retain infinity focus.

Tho OP said he saw an old Pentax camera with a Yashica lens on it, I had two Yashica TL Electro cameras which were M42. I think that model was the last of the screw thread models before the C/Y fitting. One of the 50mm lenses was f1.9 and the other was f1.7 mc. I can't remember if they had an auto/manual switch.

You are correct. I was confusing the OP's question (from 2011...ancient thread), with the recent revival comment three days ago by PiDicus Rex (LINK). The recent question was for Pentax K on C/Y with the intent of stacking adapters to a Metabones Speedbooster on a non-Pentax system.

Nope, trying to find out if it was possible to fit a K-mount lens to a C/Y mount - Not stacking adapters.

I've seen where small mods allow C/Y lenses to fit on K-mount cameras (there's a mounting ring available to swap), but Metabones do basically every mount EXCEPT Pentax, so if I wanted a speedbooster, the C/Y unit matches the Flange Focal Distance of the K-mount, and would be the best choice to mod.
And a Speedbooster would give me FF 'look' and extra stops of speed on the s35 sensor.

I have this adapter but its not that great. MDB

The Y/C mount and K-mount share the same Flange Focal Distance, so an adaptor that thick would ruin the accuracy of the barrel markings and the infinity focus.
