Tamron Lens question

Hi I've been offered a Tamron 28mm 2.5 adatall 2 lens for £20 without a mount (I do already have one though) Is it a good price and would it be a good lens to have? Thanks

if it is in good condition it is a good price...and that litle prime is a fine lens. I have it and i use it when i'm out and don't want to bring or risk my 28-75, bring that and a 50mm and you got a versatile pair.

Some images taken with it:

Great. I'm liking the idea of MF lenses at the minute as I dont have the money to spend on new ones. Are there any other prime MF lense I should look out for? I have a 50mm 1.7 already. thanks

The Helios 44-2/58 mm f/2 is a great prime MF lens, doesn't cost a lot and works like a charm. You have to get used to the wobbly bokeh and the preset ring, but once you do you'll love it.

+1 on the russian lens...check the Soviet lens club...there are some neat lenses there.
You can also be on the lookout for some of the Vivitar series 1. Browse through the database..vivitar has some fine lenses out there...
And if you buy the adaptall, check the club too, there are some good and very affordable primes and zooms to buy there (and they eventually appear on the marketplace).

That 135 looks like a nice deal...i got a 135 lens and love it (but i use it mostly in a film camera....).

HI, I bought the 28mm lens for £15 and love it, I've bought things from this guy before and he also gave me the following:

28-50mm 2.8 Tamron lens

Tamron 2x SP converter

centon 500mm mirror lens with a T mount

Looked at the reviews for the 28-50mm lens and there is only one, does anyone else have any experience with one and what about the morror lens I have never seen one before?

the mirror is probably bad...i personally like the ring bokeh and find that if you use it creatively you can produce some stunning results but the centon is probably soft and maybe will lack contrast (it happens with a lot of cheap mirror lenses).
the teleconverteris good and sought by those with the tammy 70-200 f2,8
to get a longer,good quality/price lens...
the mirror will probably worth for a laugh and experimentation but don't expect good IQ out of it....i was chasing some time ago the 500mm adaptall some time ago and read thouroughly about mirror lenses.
