K20d On/Off Switch very hard to turn

At times the On/Off switch on my K20d gets very hard to turn. I can still get it to move, but it takes an amount of force that is certainly not "normal". I cant see a pattern related to weather, humidity, etc. It doesn't appear to be related to how long it has been in the bag. I am at a loss. Has anyone had the same issue? Any ideas? Should I take it in for service?

Sounds like you have some crud (scientific term) under the plastic knob. Can be tricky to clean, but is doable.
