[langtitle=sv]Macro Lens K-x Lost In big space.[/langtitle]

Hello fellow pentax users. On the the question, ive been very satisfyed with taking closeup pictures these few months with my camera and I would like to invest a macro lens for my camera but I dont know what 2 choose. there is alot on the market and Im lost ha ha.

is the Tamron AF SP 90/2,8 Di Macro 1:1 still the best option for beginners? Since ive seen some small treads about this one.

Best regards

The Cosina 100/3.5 Macro (available in MF or AF under many brands, such as Vivitar) is quite good and more affordable - see the lens database:

I had the Tamron 90mm, sold it and now use the DA 35mm Limited.

I found that I shot primarily flowers, mostly handheld and never approaching 1:1 magnification, so the wider focal length worked well for me. It is also a great 'normal' lens.

It isn't cheap, but it covers two bases for me. I've used it as my only lens on a number of excursions and it can do almost anything.

The Tamron 90mm SP macro is a quite good lens. There are other similar excellent lenses around 100m incl. the Pentax DFA 10mm and the Sigma 105 mm, but the Tamron is the cheapest of the lot.

For macro, I cannot comment on the 35mm, but the Tamron 90mm is quite nice and easy to use.

Hope that the comment will help.

Lately I've enjoyed shooting using my 43mm Ltd and an old 49mm thread mounted Pentax Close Up Lens.. not sure how old it is, a family friend had this in her old gear from the early/mid seventies I think.

I would go with the DFA 100mm WR Macro if you can afford it.. then you could sit out in the rain and shoot without worries if you ever felt the urge. The Tamron 90 would definitely save you some money compared to the pentax 100 though.

Some of the macro zoom lenses like the 70-200's by tamron/sigma show some really nice shots as well, but if your looking for lower cost good macro alternatives there are LOTS!

I have a older Tamron Adaptol SP 70-210 Macro that is very sharp (I got this lens for $60!).Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 70-210mm f/3.5 (19AH) Lens Reviews - Pentax Third-Party Lens Review Database

You could even go with a Raynox macro lens clip on the 250 for lenses under 90-100mm and the 150 for lenses over 90-100mm https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/lens-clubs/74221-raynox-macro-club.html

If you wanted to try it, you could also probably put a reversing ring on your 55-300, and mount your kit 18-55 in front of the it for a variable zoom macro. Reversing rings can be ebay'd for under $10
