Old Sigma 28mm 1.8,,, A mode?

Hi

the lens is Sigma 28mm 1.8..for pentax mount..

but I do not know if the lens work in A mode with any Pentax DSLR's
I think it is just like manual Pentax A lenses

Can I use the lens in A mode, cant I?

Yes, of course, it will work in A Mode.

It should work perfectly. I have four Sigmas that are similar - two slightly older, one the same age as yours, one a bit newer.

The lens in your photo does have a version of the infamous Ricoh pin, but it's rounded and spring-loaded and unlikely to ever cause trouble. I have not bothered to remove the pins on my newer Sigmas.

At some point, you'll notice that you can set the aperture to f1.7. That's because the system for communicating with the camera isn't that sophisticated. You aren't really getting 1/6 stop extra.
