Pentax AF200S Flash, save for DSLR?

Is Pentax AF200S Flash save for K20D and K100D?

I was told by a Pentax person that any of the older Pentax branded flashes are safe to use with Pentax DSLR's. I've been using my old AF200S with my K200 with no problems for almost 3 years now. You just have to use it in manual mode since it is TTL not P-TTL capable.

Yes, it's perfectly usable, but you have to be in M mode

Flash A-mode works just fine.

But don't use your camera in Green, P, Sv, Tv mode; the flash in A mode will try to set the aperture incorrectly. Use camera in Av, M or X only.

BTW, the AF200T and its brothers, AF280T and AF400T, set the aperture correctly.
