K-x Burst Rate with Different Lens

How do I drive up the burst rate with my K-x. When I use my old manual focus 300mm (Tamaron adaptall) I can take up to 10 to 20 pictures before the camera needs to pause. But my DA10-17mm or 18-55mm I can only take two or three. It's the same for my Tamron 18-250mm I get maybe two or three pictures. When I use my FA50mm1.7 I can get up to five pictures.

I am using the same settings. Most of my pictures are indoors in a theater.

Check that Lens Correction and D-range Settings are turned off.

If each shot is of the same subject area, focus once and shoot many times. Making the camera focus for each shot in a burst is very time consuming.

Enable AF button shooting, disable half press shutter focusing.

best wishes,

You must switch off all in-camera processing incl. lens correction, High-ISO correction, .....

Ensure that you have a fast card. The k-x buffer memory is smaller compared to the K-7/K-7 buffer, and the camera rate will drop as soon as the buffer is full.
