metz 48 af-1

Hi all,
just want to know if the metz 48 af-1 will suit the pentax k-x.

So long as it's the Metz 48 af-1 for Pentax/Samsung, it will work great. I have one I use with my K-x and it's terrific!

One thing to consider is that the 48 has been replaced by the 50 which basically changes the plastic foot to a metal one. I haven't had a problem with the plastic foot of mine but I guess for longevitiy a metal foot would be better.

Will they work together? Sure, perfectly if you get the Pentax version of the Metz. Whether it does what you need is another story since you don't mention any requirements. For example, if you need Auto mode, the Metz is NOT your flash. If you shoot P-TTL or Manual, it is.

Yes the 48 (and 50) lack auto mode, this is a disadvantage if you will be using it with manual lenses in particular.
