Batteries

Could someone in the UK please recommend rechargable batteries for use in my K-m? I tried a set of 7 Day Shop own brand and the camera failed to start up. I know the battery type can be selected from the main menu, mine was set to 'auto' and I assumed it would make allowances for the fact rechargables generally run just under the 1.5v of normal alkaline batteries.

Cheers,

Dave.

Do I have to be in the UK to recommend Eneloops? I have used Eneloops with a DL, K100Ds, K200D and K-R. No battery problems with any of these cameras.

Do a search on "batteries" on this fourm and you'll find zillions upon zillions of recommendations for Eneloops or other low self-discharge "hybrid" rechargeables. Alkaline batteries do not work well - it even says so in the manual.
