shake reduction k-x

I have a K-x. When I go to turn the shake reduction function on, the selection is grey'd out so that I am not able to select it. I have read the manual, but don't understand what I could be doing wrong. I've tried switching the modes, file format and permitting the shutter release when aperture ring is not set to the "A" position. I have the kit lens on there. Any ideas?

NEVERMIND!!!! I had the remote control drive on! Silly me.
