Manual flash on K-X

Have bought a used Achiever 260AF flash to use with my K-X.Haven't used it on the camera yet, still making sure the trigger voltage is OK.Am comfortable using manual flash but would like to know what setting should be used to let the camera auto focus but user set the speed and aperture.Would be nice if the low light assist on the flash could be made to work.
Thanks,
Jake

Manual mode would work fine to let you set the shutter speed and aperture yet still auto focus. As would TAv mode, however, then you are stuck with auto ISO.
