thin line in my photos of K20D

I having a problem with my K20D I just got there is a thin line on the left side to the center, I even try updating the firmware, the line shows better in live view as red line.

I am not able to open the picture. I had an issue of dead pixels that showed up as a black line in my first copy of the k20d. Is it under warranty?

Yea 30 days from 4Dcomputers, they in the same state I am and have very high feedback, I message them it's after hours I call them tomorrow, I was hoping it was not the image sensor, it was refurbished not sure how they miss this one if it was returned before.
Takes wonderful photos even that the line is in the way.

You think shipment and summer heat up to 100F can damage image sensor like this??

I doubt that the heat has anything to do with this. It is good that it is under warranty/return/exchange period, just send it back for refund/exchange. It is a fantastic camera - good luck with the next copy.

I am having the same issue with my K20D, except my line is horizontal. I have just found pentaxforums, searching for an answer to this problem. (Hello everyone, btw, sorry to be posting without an introduction but I am this close to throwing my Pentax away

).

I am attaching four photos. The first two are from about a year ago, when the camera was under warranty and it was sent to Japan to fix the problem (after determining that the CCD was at fault). Recently, the issue has reappeared except the line has moved to the lower left.

I have never dropped it and I have used it only a few times. Never left it in the sun, nor in humidity, etc.

Any suggestions on what to do with this (either technically or through Pentax) would be greatly appreciated!

A google search shows many references to the same problem:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ... and there are even more.

I have tried a different SD card, pixel mapping, newest and older firmwares, etc.
