MZ 50 Film Door

Hi All,

I have just picked up an MZ 50 for parts. It had a data back on it which I removed easily enough but when I went to fit it to my MZ 50 I cannot remove its back. Do I have to drop the bottom plate to do this as it appears to be mounted differently?

Regards,
Gordon.

It should have a sliding hinge part to remove it, the top hinge I think.

It'd be a good idea to check the manuals to make sure the back is compatible with the MZ-50 body.

There is a little screw attached on the top hinge. It's for moving the spring loaded top hinge. Use a 000 Philip screw driver to move the hinge downward (DO NOT try to remove the screw). You can also use finger nail to push the hinge down to remove or install the back cover. All the MZ/ZX series back doors are inter-changeable. The date back displays several formats, including date and time. If you don't want it imprinted on film, simply turn it off, i.e., dashed line.
