This is a complicated question. The K-7 is better in every way except size and possibly AA battery capability. Is it
better enough to justify the expense? It's a tough call, because how can you put a value on say, the top LCD, especially if you've never used it?
I feel compelled to mention two reasons not to upgrade. If you don't have all the lenses you want, I would buy those first. Better lenses will make a big difference in image quality, way more than 4 more megapixels. And if it sets your camera upgrade plan back a year, you'll be looking at used K-5s instead of used K-7s.
Reason #2: You should look at your photos taken with the K2000, especially the ISO used. Are you constantly pushing the ISO to 1000 or more? The K-7 might give you a little more, but I'd say it's not better enough to upgrade for ISO. If you mostly want better low-light sensitivity, the K-r or K-5 are the big step you're looking for.
I really like my K-7, however. I can't think of any regrets I have about purchasing it.
