A few maintenance/repair questions
I recently inherited a Pentax 645 that's been sealed in a Tundra case since 1999 and have found 2 issues.
1) The filter ring on the 75mm lens looks like it got smacked - it's out of round in one spot. Barely. Just enough that a filter won't screw on. Can that be fixed and is it expensive?
2) There was a black speck in the viewfinder. I removed the lens and the spot was on the focusing screen. Figuring it was just dust I tried a brush on it. It smeared so it apparently wasn't dust. Grease? Most of it came off with lens cleaner & a microfiber cloth but there is some in the circular grooves (?) on the focusing screen. Is there something a little stronger I can use on the screen to remove the grease from the grooves without damaging the plastic? I'd rather not remove the screen if I don't have to.
Thank you,
Scott
