What is this spot?

I wanted to get everyones opinion beforetaking it someplace to get checked out. When I was taking pictures I noticedsomething, an unidentified object, in the picture. It appears to be a sidewaysc in the upper right hand corner. I did the dust removal a few times to noavail. I then swapped out the lenses to make sure it wasn’t the lens. Whateverit is, it is still there. Below is a picture where you can see what I amtalking about. Any help on how to fix and/or what to do next will be greatlyappreciated!

Looks like some dust & debris on your sensor. Try a rocket blower to get it off. Something like this:

Like the thousands of other threads it is probably dust. Run the dust alert function to see it. Then run the sensor cleaning function to lock up the mirror to clean. The rocket blower is a popular choice but be careful and dont cheap out as you could potentially blow more dust instead or removing.

Yep. Dust... More specifically, some sort of a fiber.

I had something similar recently (see post)

It was not on the sensor but in front of it. If you use the dust alert function you should be able to tell if it is on the sensor. My "hair" did not show up on dust alert, but I could see it using the technique in the thread.
