After buying my first prime (M 50mm 1.7) I found that manual was not for me. I still have my M 50 which I use when I'm shooting completely still objects (the lens's IQ is amazing) but found that AF is a must for me, especially when doing street photography. The lenses you (the OP) suggested are good lenses and the extra $ is definitely worth it.

Have four prime lens that are used regularly, all manual focus,28,35,50 and a 135 the same as when shooting a Spotmatic back in 1970.The focal length is a little different
on my K-X than on the film cameras but still work for me.Anytime I am shooting in low light these primes are used but most all day time shooting I will go with the newer auto focus.Have a Rikenon p 35-70 macro which isn't a true macro but gets close enough for me most of the time without using extenders.Wish I would have bought that 85mm that was in the camera store where my brother-in -law worked back in about 1980.

That's pretty near an ideal lineup. I stretch that a bit: 16-24-28-35-50-58-85-105-135 (but not all at the same time usually). The 16-105-135 are f/2.8 or faster; the others are f/2 or faster. But different lenses also have different flavours, which is why I have various lenses around most of those focal lengths. There's more to photography than focal-length coverage.
