Help with flash please

Hi I have had my k200 for a year now and feel I understand how it works, I am ready to use an external flash gun to see if it can benefit my photography in any way. A local advert has a METZ MECABLITZ 36 C-2 flash at a good price. Can I use it with my K200? as I dont seem to be able to find much info on it.

MZ36347 Metz Mecablitz 36 AF-4 Digital TTL Flash for Pentax & Samsung Compact Digital Cameras, Guide Number 118' (36 m) at the 85mm Setting.

You can use it if it is made for Pentax.

Metz Mecablitz 36 C-2 is not the same as Metz Mecablitz 36 AF-4.

Metz Mecablitz 36 C-2 is a generic basic flash, it's not "dedicated" to any brand/model. It has manual and auto mode (3 aperture settings), manual zoom bounce head (no swivel), no TTL, no p-TTL.

The biggest disadvantage is "no swivel" head. If you don't need that feature, it's a good decent flash. Note that the new price is $75 (Adorama).

I'd try to locate a Sunpak 36DX or 30DX instead. It does not have a zoom head, but is more powerful, the head can swivel, and it has 5 manual power settings.
