playback feature

I am having trouble with the playback feature on k7, i can't get it to play instantly when I shoot, it has a very long delay I have tried all menu options I can think of, what am I doing wrong

Have you disabled lens correction? CA and distortion corrections take some processing time to correct your images shot with Pentax lenses.

Have you disabled highlight correction? This also takes up processing time and if it's not needed should be switched off.
