istds picture problems

Hi guys hope you can help. My dslr is only talking half the framed picture. Bottom Half. Is this a sticking shutter or something more technical. It does not matter what lens i use or SD card. Lenses are pentax 18- 55 and sigma 70-300.

Thanks for any help

You should be able to tell if it's a sticking shutter.

Remove the lens, set exposure mode to M or Tv and a long shutter speed of >2 seconds, look into mirror box and press the shutter release.

If the shutter sticks, you'll see it.

Try sensor clean mode. You should see all of the sensor. This test is better than a long exposure because the sensor is off in cleaning mode and will not attract dust.
