Compatibility?

PENTAX-F 1.7X SMC and Sigma EX 300/2,8 APO DG?
Any issues with this kombination ( i got a K5 and a K7)
If anyone got this combination feel free too give an old-
man some guidance

They will both work with your K5/7, just make sure that the Sigma has a Pentax mount.

I think you'll find that combination on your K-5 a dream to use.

While the combination will work, and while the SMC-F 1.7x AF converter is a very good tele converter, Assuming you have correctly listed your lens as the non HSM version, you may also be interested to try the sigma APO 1.4x EX DG and APO 2x EX DG teleconverters.

these are specifically designed for long and fast sigma Tele and Tele Zoom lenses, and yeild excellent results.

I should at some time, do a head to head as I have all 3 TCs, i.e. both sigma and the pentax AF.
