K10D Lens locking mechanism broken

has any one had this before, my K10D has had the lens locking pin become unattached from the release button.

This keeps the locking pin retracted as well as the AF drive

Ouch- maybe something happened to the spring, or it got jammed!

I feel for you, Lowell. My first Pentax went twenty years without trouble. The new ones don't.

Really just waiting for an order of magnitude quote from pentax if it is not too bad I'll get it fixed if it is too high it will become a permanent M42 body

Really is an excuse to get a K5 I guess. The funny thing is when you consider the old bodies they did not get the same number of frames for sure (I have 20K between Ricoh XR2s, KX and PZ-1) my 3 DSLRs are all 13-16k shots each

P.s. Maybe I can pick up your M400 asPentax is only 20 miles away
