Should I see focus points?

Hello again, and yes...still trying to figure out my out of focus pics.
If I have is set on 5-point auto focus, when I look thru the view finder and press the
shutter 1/2 way should I see all 5 points and one of them that is highlighted some how
to show me which of the points it's focusing on?
Currently, it shows the center point then a red 'point' will appear at a point the the side
of the center point. Is that the focus point?
Just didn't know if I should be seeing all 'available' focus points with one or two standing out,
same with the 11-point.

You're only going to see the points which are actively being used, not all of the potential points. If two are shown, then both were used in that case.

I don't get it. Did you buy a camera to look for faults or to take pictures? Why don't you just go out and take some pictures - lots of them - and see how they turn out before deciding if the lenses need fine adjustments, charts and whatnot.

Don't.

If you need to ask about AF Fine Adjustment on a new DSLR, you are not ready for fine adjustment.
