does it matter how many clicks are on a k10d when
you are buying a used one? Are there things that wear on the inside of the camera?

Sounds like a stupid quetion i know but just wanted to know

The shutter for the K10d is rated to endure 100,000 shutter actuations. I would expect a modest one to have at least 10-20K by now (its been around almost half a decade, an eon in digital camera terms!), getting up around 60-70K I'd be making sure to be paying a price on the low end of the used market.

Yes. But I don't know if it has anything to do with the number of actuations.

Read this thread.

One of my K10Ds is having this "back focus getting worse" problem (the other is dedicated to IR photography, and is difficult to detect/check focus problem).

Yes, much like a car's odometer, shutter count cannot possibly tell the whole health of a camera.
I have had my K10 for five years. It probably has 70,000 shutter actuations and looks really nice still. Care to guess how many times I have dropped it? How many times it has been serviced? What function might fail next? Would I sell this camera before something breaks? Nope!
If it has less than 40,000 shutter counts and functions fully, it should be considered at a reasonable price. Otherwise look for something else. Maybe look around the forum's Marketplace sold section for a few previous transactions and descriptions of conditions. If this is a Craigslist listing and the guy wants $600 cause he paid $1200 and it has less than 6,000 shutter clicks, pass on it.
