What camera do you have? I don't think you need LightRoom at all if you have PCU4. Batch process with it is easy and fairly fast. Besides, I think it does a better job of conversions than any of the Adobe programs, which are primarily designed for Canon and Nikon.

Subscribed. I can't figure out how to batch process with Pentax Digital CU 4 either. I'm currently using DXOptics' trial version.

If I don't care for preconversion post processing I just use Irfanview with the plugins to do batch transfers. Fast and free.

In PDCU4 it starts by marking the photos in a directory you want to convert and then adding them to the Queue using the Queue button on the tool bar. This will open a window with options like where to save the files, what format (TIFF,JPG) and any rules to use. If you are not using a rule it is somewhat straight foreword but can get more complicated if you us a rule.

PDCU4 will do a simple conversion to JPG (or TIFF and some other things) but judging from your typing you are burned out for now. If I was going to try and help you use PDCU you would have to upgrade to 4 as that is all I have running. I have used PDCU4 to convert a large number of RAW to JPG so if that is what you want it to do it can do that. I usually convert RAW to TIFF and then use PSP to convert to JPG. In PSP you can have the batch do even more to the photos.
