First time battery charging time and notification

Hello fellow Pentaxians

I just got myself a K-5 blah blah.
I'm just wondering does the LED-light on the charger turn itself off when battery is fully charged?

The LED turns off when the battery is charged; I think the manual even states that.

And be prepared for a long wait; 6 hours or so
