Re-sizing photos

I use my Kx at full throttle so my photos are mostly 3 to 4 MBs in size. What is the best way to re-size them to album forum standard?

What I do:
(1) Use XnView to resize pics (in Tools>Batch Processing>Resize>900 Height);
(2) Upload them on flickr;
(3) On flickr, enlarge them to "large";
(4) On the enlarged pic in flickr, right-click on the picture to get the image URL ("Get image URL");
(5) Use the "Insert Image" function to insert your image URL's in a Pentax Forums thread.

XnView: excellent, multi-functional, light, free software--just google it.
Flickr account: free.

I've been using IrfanView for years now, it can load RAW files and has resampling to 'resize' your pics, and has batch processing. ( it can load almost any image and video file that I've thrown at it)

It also is free and is very easy to use.
IrfanView - one of the most popular viewers worldwide

Download the plugins as well to load the RAW files.

I had IrfanView, which is nice, but XnView is better, IMO. A good guide to free digital image viewers/basic editors:

RAW support needs several different downloads and installs for plug-ins or dll's
lol, it's only one other download and takes mere seconds to install, not several, and the interface it not that had to understand.

oh, and the batch processing, and conversion can be done with raw and uses the full power of the normal/advanced re-size/conversion/alteration etc.
