lens won't come off

I'm trying to think clearly about what the deal is but am having a "freak out" moment... I cannot remove this 28mm Focal (manual) lens from my K-x body. Pushing the black button and the lens won't lift off. What am I missing?

Hi,
Sorry about your situation. But it looks like a Ricoh mount lens - KR - lens with Ricoh pin. Search this forum for ricoh pin.
Hope that you can take the lens off.
Best regards,
Yuriy

Seems the Ricoh pin gets stuck in the end of the screw drive.

Look at this thread from elsewhere,

Sears 60-300(auto aperture, push pull zoom): Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

and follow the OPs instructions (which are also in the thread);

'First make sure the MF/AF switch is set to AF(this raises the autofocus screw and pushes the pin up). Then get an automotive feeler gauge or some other small thin piece of metal(credit cards are too thick, paper is not strong enough), and stick it between the body and lens near where I have the little red arrow(you can also look back up at the other picture of mine so you know where the AF screw is at). You will feel the AF screw when you run into it. When that happens try gently twisting the lens off, if it doesnt work keep moving the feeler around in there, and trying to twist the lense off... always be gentle, dont poke or twist too hard, you will get it eventually. ',

Good luck.

Sigh... thanks, yall. Off to find an automotive feeler gauge. Hopefully no hacksaw will be necessary...
In case someone searches and finds this, here's an additional article regarding what to try.
Also, here's the most helpful thread from the forum on the subject of Ricoh pins that I found.
And, just in case you resort to the feeler gauge or hacksaw methods, here is a picture of the K-mount, to show where the AF hole is /Ricoh pin will be stuck.

edited: Ah! Five cheers for my husband who was able to pull off the lens, really with just brute force. Like JohnX quoted above, make sure the camera is set to AF as it will push against the Ricoh pin with the AF pin. I know that helped, for sure. (However if you have to resort to a hacksaw, you want to make sure that MF is on!!).
