Kalimar 28-105

I got this Kalimar 28-105 lens marked PK-A-R. I knew it had the Ricoh pin, and after reading the pin removal thread, I removed the pin without problems. Before removing the pin I had not tried mounting it on my camera (istDS). It will not mount. It seems like the flange is too big and hits inside keeping it from going flush before turning to lock. I know I replaced the mount properly. Everything else looks the same as the mount on my Pentax 18-55. I thought all PK mount lens would work on these cameras.

Then remove the flange. It doesn't really do anything (probably just protecting the aperture actuator lever).

Or you can trim the flange.

Ha.....60 year old eyes....I had not even noticed the 2 little screws holding the flange. Thank you, works great now. I may trim the flange down with my dremel later and reinstall it, but for now it'll be fine.
