Pentax lens notation

Could anyone help with the difference between a Pentax DA lens and a PDA lens?

No difference at all. Some online shops list P-DA instead of Pentax DA or smc Pentax DA. But practically you get the same lens in the end.

AFAIK the only modifiers on modern Pentax series notations are FA-J, DA-L, and DFA, and * and Ltd. SMC is included in all lens named. But we abbreviate, take shortcuts, and PDA is a seller's shortcut for Pentax-DA. The P isn't official, just lazy.

(Hay, who remembers when PDA used to mean Personal Digital Appliance? Y'know, back before iPods and Blackberries. Ancient history now. But I digress.)
