What are the negatives in buying from a NON-authorized Pentax dealer?

I bought my K-5 from Amazon and it had stains on the sensor, they sent me a new one and told me to return the old one after I received the new one. You want that kind of service. problems are unlikely but they do happen....best to be safe. I have heard good stories about B&H also.
