Kx and Bower SFD926P flash=no flash?

I have a Kx, bought in Feb. 2011, and a Bower SDF926P flash bought in April. Then family crises intervened and I haven't messed with the flash since.

Tried to use it last night, and despite using fresh batteries and multiple different settings, it wouldn't flash when mounted on the camera. It flashes fine with the test mode button, and my pop-up flash in the KX works fine, in fact, that's what I ended up using though I wanted the better look of the better flash.

I suspect I've got something set wrong...any ideas?

Thanks,
Hray

Try to clean the hotshoe on both camera and flash with a cloth. Hope it will work.

Duh...I must have been really tired last night. I had the flash on S (slave) mode. Duh. When switched to another mode it worked fine.
