200 zoom versus 300 zoom

+1 to this. at the 300 end, the silver FA100-300 (silver) beats the modern DA 55-300. I can call it the hidden gem of Pentax long zooms (without a * in the name)

Well I fell asleep at the wheel ...tried to get some yard work done (weeds are popping up already) and then I rediscovered a camera I had purchased and forgot about. It's a Minolta XD 9. So I had to put some film in it, fresh batts and well you know the rest of the story. However, I placed a bid on a DAL 55-300(before I read bjake and alizairne posts). But I found a listing for a FA J starting at 50 and a buy it now of 100. Although I have a SF1 and an SF2 to use the lens on would the FA J be 1.5 on the Km digi? ~ normal?
