ev compensation

is there any way to turn off the ev compensation im manual mode on a k10d or do you just have to deal with it cause i looked in the manual for the camera and it says to turn it off in the camera settings but when sooting in manual mode it still does its own thing and auto ev compensates?? thanks

No it doesn't. It may be telling you that it thinks the exposure is off by such-and-such an amount (to be used as a guide), but it isn't actually applying that compensation...

OOh ok so it is like a light meter right so when in - its under and + is over exposed i get it thanks

It *is* the light meter readout.

Not like a light meter.

Exactly- so in order to get -1ev, just press the green button and move the shutter speed or aperture value one stop to the left.
