Soft, bunged up tiny screw on lens

Hi.

I'm wanting to relube my 3M-5CA 500mm mirror lens, and one of the 3 screws around the focusing ring that holds the front objective on has a bunged-up head & it's in there much tighter than it needs to be. I've tried cutting out the slot in the head a little deeper with an x-acto blade but the screw is so soft any attempt to get it out with a screwdriver just mangles the slot again.

What can I do to get this stupid thing out? The other two screws work fine.
