Lens compatibility for dummies

Hi,
I recently joined the forum after digging up all my old Pentax film cameras as I want to start shooting my B&W in film instead of digital.
I am planning to go to a workshop and do some studio shooting and i want to rent a lens for the even.
I have a question. Can I use a newer pentax AF lens on my old Super Program? Will the auto shutter and aperture still function? And, I understand the lens is designed as an APC-s lens so will I get vignette in the corners?
Here is the lens I am considering.
Pentax SMC-DA* 50-135mm f/2.8 ED [IF] SDM
Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks!
Brian

Yes to both questions.--- it will fit right on, but yes you can even see the vignette in the corners of the mirror when you do (I just looked)

The DA* 50-135 is a great lens, but you won't get vignetting in the corners, you'll get black, at least below 120mm. At about 120mm it starts to fill the whole frame, but the vignetting is fairly strong.
