Pentax DA 50-135mm cost to replace SDM

Does anybody know this? What does pentax typically charge? Nobody willing to give me anything unless I sent the lens in which is basically time consuming and if I decide not to fix it I would waste the whole time period. Pentax have the worse customer support ever. I Love the camera and lens but this is REALLY fking pissing me off :\

I believe it's in the $200-300 range typically.

If you didn't upgrade your firmware, you should be able to use the lens with screw drive on your K10D, should you decide not to fix it. I don't know if you can revert to previous firmwares or not. It should be a menu option to allow you to switch to screw drive for all SDM lenses, for all Pentax cameras. I don't know why they don't, it would be a very easy thing for them.

Excellent, I'll have to remember that if I ever end up with one of these great lenses. I hope it holds up for you.
