Dust.

I have a K-x and its forever getting large chunks of dust in the view finder. I have made a tool for removing the focusing lens thingy to clean it but again more is occuring is it the camera housing faulty or common problem??

Hard to say if yours is worse than usual, but sure, dust in viewfonders is part of life with all SLR's. Doesn't affect the picture, so most people just ignore it.

Also, removing the focusing screen to clean it may be a bad idea. They scratch really easily..... ask me how I know :-p
