What lens is this?

Hi all,

I am new to this forum

I have a k-x and i am thinking of buying a new lens
I came across a random article on my local newspaper and saw a photo (in the attachment below) of a woman using her k-r camera with a really nice lens
however i wasnt able to find any information about it online

Does anyone know what lens is it and whether it fits into my k-r? Im kind of still a beginner in photography but i really want to know more about that lens as the photos taken by that women were amazing!

I think the lens hood gives it away. And if I blow up the image, I see 31mm.

What's amazing about the photos taken by the lady?

Yes, 100% a FA 31mm. IMHO the best lens made by Pentax currently. Here's a photo by "our very own" hinman
