Buying advice, second flash unit: Metz Mecablitz 36 AF-5 Digital

I'm new to flash photography. I want to buy a second flash for some extreme studio macro photography (my main flash is a Metz Mecablitz 50 AF-1, my camera a Pentax K-5).

I was thinking about buying a Metz Mecablitz 36 AF-5 but I'm lost here: Can I fire it wirelessly (P-TTL remote mode) as a slave unit triggered by the 50 AF-1 (connected to the K-5 with an off-camera cord)?

Metz says the the 50 AF-1 does not act as a master, only a remote. I'd consider either the Metz 58 or a Pentax. I understand that Sigma also makes some flashes that will serve as masters.
