K-5 - Mark in photos when stopped down

Hi forum,

I am running into a strange problem I hope someone can help me with. Didn't see a solution on the internet anywhere.

I was recently going through my photos on a bright day, and noticed a weird L shaped mark on all my photos when my lens was stopped down. Thinking it was my lens, I did some tests and noticed that it is in ALL photos in the same place, regardless of focal length, leading me to believe it's my camera. I don't see anything in my view finder, and the mark gets less sharp as I open the aperture up and is essentially gone by f5.

The example is circled in red below with a photo at f22. The other is at f2.8. Could this be a dirty sensor? I don't really wanna touch it unless that is the problem

Thanks guys

Yeah, on the sensor. Or, if only one lens does it, small chance it is something on the rear element.

Yes. It's dust on your sensor.

And from the size of it, it's a nice big piece of dust. Which is also supported by the fact that you see it up till f5. Being that big, a blower like the Rocket Blowers would have no problem removing it.

Indeed, this is what you need:
Giottos Rocket Air Blaster, Manual Air Blower with Bulb AA1900

It also does an excellent job of cleaning your keyboard.
