Should I buy?

Hi Guys

I am getting a Pentax ME (partly automatic), 28mm, 50mm, 135mm (all M lenses), a flash gun to mount on the ME, and a small camera bag for $100 posted. Is that a good deal? Thanks.

Assuming the lenses are the M28/2.8, M50/1.7, and M135/2.8 or f/3.5, then yes, it's a good deal. If the Fifty is the M50/2, then it's still an OK deal. I see you also have a Kx. Be very careful about using the flash on both cameras. Many older flashes use a high trigger voltage that can FRY DIGITAL ELECTRONICS! "Don't brick the camera", as we say. Good luck!

Thats great info Chaos and RioRico. I do not have info on the 28 and 135's apertures but the M50 1.7 is the kit lens that came with the ME.

Rio as you are aware that I have a Kx, and it has a built-in flash, but that is not sufficient, or suitable, for something like macro photography(which I intend to start very soon, my Raynox's will reach me tomorrow). Any ideas on what will be an ideal (and cheap) flash equipment suitable to buy for macro photography and will go well on the Kx?
I won't be doing a flying insects photography hence won't need a 1/25000 kind of flash. It will mostly be flowers and plants, and later on perhaps tiny insects.

Others here can better recommend macro-suitable flashes. Some folks may post pictures of their home-brew rigs using potato-chip cans to aim the light! I'm a lazy sod, so I use a cheap Phoenix RL-59P ringflash (TTL) with AF or A-type lenses.
