Whites tuning pink on images on K20D

What luck. I just joined the forumn today. I was outside taking some storm cloud shots which I bracketed as 3 shots. The images didn't come out correct. The clouds are pink. When I shoot an unbracketed image of one the image seems to be OK. I switched out SD cards, same results. I also noticed a white line going across my rear viewing screen, when I zoomed in, it disapeared.

Anybody ever have the same problem? I am guessing a sensor problem, but then why is the single shot mode working?

It might be a screen problem. Have you looked at the images on your computer?

Check your white balance ! It just may have missed it on auto ( although unusual ) or you may have accidently have it set sumwhere it shouldnt.
it should be simple enough to correct either way.

Try resetting your custom image settings and setting the white balance to auto and see if that helps.

It'd be best if you can post one of the problem shots, so we can see how severe it is, and try to figure out the cause from there. If it's just a pink tint, it could be white balance. If they're pure magenta, it could be a sensor issue. Hard to say from your description alone.

As mentioned, it's mostl likely a white balance issue. Over a decade of shooting digital has taught me that AWB (auto white balance) systemare flakey. If shooting AWB, I always tweak the WB | color temperature of RAWs till they look right, and I use REMOVE COLOR CAST tools on JPGs -- those are my PP defaults.

White balance is one of the first things I checked. Its very noticeable on outdoor shots.

Could it be clipped in the blue and green channels and nearly so in the red? Check the histogram. If you run out of head room your colors will go wonky in the highlights.

I will post a picture tomorrow. Its dark outside right now. I know its not the white balance. A one shot image comes out fine. Bracketed images are screwed up plus I am noticeing a line across my image.

While you are running tests, you should also do a simple burst test to see whether it ends up like your single images or bracketed set.

Adam thank you I think your suggestion worked by resetting all the settings to their original configuration. I believe somehow the extended bracketing settings got altered. Such as Hue or Saturation. It was only doing this when I bracketed the shots. Seems like its working now. I won't know till tomorrow when I shoot some outdoor bracketed shots especially of the clouds in the sky. Wish me luck. And thank you everybody for your advice.
