Adobe Lightroom 3.6

So I shoot with the Pentax K10D and in RAW, I always been wondering why when I import all my photo's to Lightroom they all suddenly change when I click on them. Anyone knows how to prevent this from happening?

lightroom is apply its default processing settings to the jpeg previews, vs the jpeg preview generated by the camera. pretty sure there's something in the preferences menu to disable it

Mine does the same thing. The pictures generally become desaturated when I import RAW files from the K20D.

My guess is that what you are initially seeing for a second is the software's JPEG representation with the saturation and contrast among others, turned up. After the pictures has completely loaded what you are getting in the unprocessed RAW image.

They use the jpeg preview that is inside the RAW to display the thumbnail, when you press on it they actually use the real RAW information to make the image.

Is there a way to show immediatly the *real* RAW, instead of the Jpg preview?
Thank you.

Yes but it eats up your harddisk space...
Now it greats a preview for all your current photos you import and keep the preview there for a week.
You can change that in preference but it might make the whole system sluggish and big...
