Settings lost after Pentax DSLR firmware upgrade?

Hello, I wanted to know if after firmware upgrade is needed to restore all the personal settings of the camera or if they are maintained. thanks

Your settings are fully maintained unless the firmware changes a particular setting entirely, which is rare. Thread moved & renamed.

Update the firmware on my K7 with version 1.12 and have not had any problems. personal settings in the camera remained
