What did Pentax include in my kit?

Does anyone know what this part is? circled in red. Thanks

that is the view finder cover.
It's there to put over the view finder for when your eye is not up to it (Ie when using tripod etc). It will block light getting into the the camera and messing up the exposure metering system.

Do you mean the eye piece view finder? I don't see where it latches on. I'm sure it's really obvious and I'm just over looking. ha ha

you gotta take off the rubber eye cup to be able to latch it on

push the rubber eye cup straight up to release it.
