Whatever macro lens you buy, remember it can be used for other purposes too. I've got the DFA100WR, here's why I got it. I wanted a macro, but don't really shoot macro that much. I also wanted a water resistant lens and the focal length suits me, I didn't have a prime near 100, I have a 35/2.4, and I have had several 50s and found it an awkward length for what I shoot. Mt reason may make no sense for you, but just make your own list of needs/wants. I put a lot of research into it because it is my most expensive lens. I had previously picked up a used MF Promaster 100mm F3.5 Macro which was great at macros, but difficult to use as a telephoto. The DFA has become one of my favorites, and I always have it in threatening weather since it's still my only WR lens. Another tool to use is a free downloadable program called Exposure Plot. It will look at your files and chart the focal lengths and F stops you have used.

I have had my wife for over 35 years. I found that wife generally = no money. At least to spend where I want to spend it.She seemed to think the kids/grand kids were more important.
She has trouble seeing that I NEED the new camera or lens or more film etc
