Grainy Images in DCU

Hello,

I apologize if this belongs in the postprocessing forum, or maybe the beginner forum, but:

I find when I look at PEFs in the Digital Camera Utility, or in Faststone, they look very grainy. If I use Raw Development on the camera, then open the JPEG on my computer, I don't see any noise at all. Assume I am doing something wrong with the computer - any ideas?

Is noise reduction enabled in-camera? If not, you will need to apply it to your raws via photoshop, lightroom, topaz, etc.
